ABOUT CHRIS
Behind the Words
Chris loves nothing more than to spend the entire day cooking a special dinner for her family and her twenty-eight nieces and nephews. She believes, at the very end of our lives, when we take a good look back, we will realize that all that really mattered were our relationships. They're the meaning and the joy of life.
Chris has loved books since she was a kid. To this day, she can be found in some hidden corner of the house with her nose in a book or voraciously writing stories and poetry. She is officially classified as the nerd who wrote a poem for her best friend in the 7th grade. With a B.S. in Business from Canisius College in New York, she took every English and Literature class to create her own English minor. Chris has traveled to 29 countries and is not proud to declare that she's moved around a lot. She's lived in 10 different small towns across the U.S. including the deep bayou of Louisiana, the remote Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia, the foot of the Adirondack Mountains of New York, the abandoned steel mills of Pennsylvania and the touristy coast of Florida. All of her books are set in places she has lived. They may be visited and investigated as authentic and strange and mysterious and weird and…wonderful. She was the Founder and President of IntellSource, Inc., a successful medical consulting company, until she retired to pursue her first love, reading and writing, all day long. She now lives in the Carolinas with her husband of 38 years, close to the most wonderful grandbaby in the entire world, Miss Sawyer Brooke, and two mischievous grand pups, Ralphie and Hank. #hank_in_brooklyn
Chris also believes, when there’s nothing new under the sun, and you long for something more, be the change that you're looking for. She has volunteered with organizations like the Junior League, Eight Days of Hope, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Compass House for Runaway Youth, and more.
This was the reason for the BOOKSTORM Podcast and the Chris Storm Bookst: To take a closer and more serious look at books that matter, books that make a difference in every single reader's life, long after the last page is turned. To be in conversation with the Book World, to get in on the latest buzz, the current trends and maybe even... a few secrets! For 3 years Chris interviewed 200 Bestselling Fiction authors with listeners in 90 countries, 2000 cities and all 50 U.S. States.
Chris spring boarded from BOOKSTORM into CHRIS STORM BOOKS in 2025 to form a boutique publishing house, bringing #booksthatmatter to the world. Stories about women in jeopardy; women empowerment, overcoming and victory! She will be publishing a few of her own books and taking submissions in 2026.
Her motto: “Read a book; because within those mysterious pages, filled with interesting people and far-away places, you will discover something of you—something lost, something buried, or, maybe, just maybe, something you never knew."
